Stillwell Prevails at Junior District Match Play

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Chris Stillwell of the NYSGA eClub of Central NY defeated SDGA Junior Classic champion and number two overall seed Mitchell Archer of Drumlins CC 2 up in the final match of the 2023 SDGA Junior District Match Play Championship. Stillwell was the number four overall seed in match play after shooting a 3-over, 73 in Monday's qualifying round.

Stillwell's road to victory also included wins over Luke Parker, Jack Gregory, and number one seed Jackson Saroney.

Sub-Junior Champion Aleksei Panek

In the Sub-Junior division, Aleksei Panek of the NYSGA eClub of Central NY defeated Josiah Brechler by a score of 6&5 to capture the 14 & under title.

The event was contested over three days at Drumlins Country Club's East and West courses.
