Monroe Three-Peats at SDGA Mid-Amateur

ONEIDA, N.Y. -- Brad Monroe of Onondaga G&CC yet again successfully defended his SDGA Mid-Amateur title this weekend at Kanon Valley Country Club. This marks the third consecutive year Monroe has won the event.

Monroe came out firing, shooting an opening-round 67 (-5) to build a three-shot lead over Joel Jakubowicz, who sat at 70 (-2) through 18 holes.

On day two Monroe held off a flurry of challengers including Jim Hirsh, the runner-up who shot a day-two 69 (-3) for a 36 hole total of 145 (+1).

The top 5 was rounded out by Luke Hobika 146 (+2), Joel Jakubowicz 147 (+3), Connor Wisniewski 147 (+3).
